Bringing a little country to town is the theme of this year’s Clonakilty Agricultural Show. We have plenty of country fun to be had this year from livestock, a new set of classes for the Irish Draught Horse, Jive Dancing, qualifiers for Cooking and Bread making, there is something for everyone at this year’s show.
We’re delighted to host a qualifier for the All Ireland Home Cook Champion 2017 – which will bring the excitement of competitive cooking right here to Clonakilty.
Perhaps you have a bread recipe that is known throughout the county – here is your chance to see if your recipe has what it takes to be crowned a champion. The 2017 Champion Bread Competition will be held at the show and judged by Chef Adrian of RTE and TV3.
We’re bringing back Jive Dancing with our entertainment this year – Paul Kelly & Band who were recently named as Sunday World’s Newcomer to Country Music. Paddy O’Brien will be guest artist on the day. In addition, we’re hosting an ‘Open Mic’ to give upcoming musicians a chance to showcase their talents.
Founded in 1901, Clonakilty Agricultural Show has been a high point in the West Cork calendar for over 116 years. Plenty of fun for the whole family as well as great information and products for the Agri business.
See you there!
